Every day, millions of software engineers, cloud architects, and data analysts copy live API payloads, production database exports, session tokens, customer records, and system configurations into search-engine formatters just to read them.
What many engineers do not realize is that the vast majority of legacy online formatters process payloads on remote web servers. Server logs, analytics crawlers, and unvetted cloud backends capture those sensitive payloads. For regulated companies (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR), this creates severe compliance and data-leak risks.

We asked a simple engineering question: Why send data over the internet when modern web browsers have more than enough computing power to parse, validate, diff, and score JSON locally? JSONForge was created to guarantee that developer data remains completely sovereign and never leaves local device memory.

Local-First Browser Engine
All parsing (Strict JSON, JSONC, JSON5), structural diffing, health evaluation, and format conversions execute directly in your browser. We offload heavy computational workloads to Web Workers so your browser tab never locks up.
Privacy Shield by Default
Our built-in Privacy Shield automatically scans object keys and values for exposed API keys, bearer tokens, credit cards, emails, and passwords, allowing you to generate sanitized, redacted copies in one click before sharing.
Desktop-Grade IDE Experience
We integrated CodeMirror 6 with full lint diagnostics, tree virtualizers, tabular record viewers, multi-tab state management, keyboard shortcuts (Cmd+Shift+F), and fuzzy command palettes (Cmd+K).
Offline & Persistent (PWA)
JSONForge functions as a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can install it on your workstation, use it without an internet connection, and rely on automatic IndexedDB crash recovery.
Standards Compliance & Continuous Maintenance
Our parsers are verified against canonical specifications including RFC 8259, ECMA-404, and draft JSON Schema standards. We actively maintain our test suites with automated continuous integration checks to ensure zero regressions across browser releases.
